I wanted share this project I've been working for a little over a year now. The theory behind the project was that a lot of local information is lost due to the nature of wide area networks (like the internet) which leads to increased inefficiencies in the overall economy. So many neighbors don't know each other, and so many buyers and sellers do not transact because they just didn't know each other.
Over the last year, I bootstrapped the app and the app got mentioned as one of the best apps of Google Play in 2022. After having done a lot of cheap A/B testing via online ads, I have finally decided to raise funds for the app and take the next step. While the app is far from it's final shape, I was wondering what the hackernews community thinks of it.
Any feedback and help is highly appreciated! Thank you all for your support!
Like Nextdoor? That has already brought the usual internet toxicity to the local neighborhood. The inverse square law seems to apply equally to passive-aggressive behavior and gravity.
