Ask HN: Are there any good open source screen sharing tools with remote control?

I spent hours last night trying to re-enable remote control on Jitsi's electron app with no luck[1]. Are there any other good open source tools out there for remote controlling a friends' computer screen on a call?

Does it need to be open source, or just free to use ?

There are a few free tools out there.

Can you name a few (open source or not)?
Happy to hear what good free tools are out there too. I know Zoom supports this on their free personal tier, the meetings are just capped at 40 mins.
TeamViewer has been a standard tool for screen sharing and remote control for a while now.
TeamViewer and Google's equivalent (Google Remote Desktop) are 2 that come to mind, and there is functionality built directly in to some versions of Windows.
TeamViewer is very very expensive!
The personal version is free.

OP stated "remote controlling a friends computer" which would be the free version
