I had a job interview with an American (NASDAQ) company, for their swiss office, recently. They offered around 100k CHF for a 42h/week contract with 5 weeks of vacation. It is indeed surprisingly low, compared to the high cost of living in Switzerland. The wages in Germany are not much worse with a much lower cost of living (and you get less hours per week and more vacation). I found this strange, as Switzerland was known for very high pay in the past.

It's certainly not on par with what you might earn in SV, unless you work for Big Tech.
