Crypto Rebrand? Beyond Border Currency?

Crypto is a silly name, it was also stolen from cryptographer who are rightly a bit sad about being associated with such a sh*tstorm of nonsense and snake oil.

However, under all the mess of chains, there are a few glimmer of usefulness that are obscured, a rebrand, if taken up by a few key players, could wipe the slate clean, at least semantically?
