Throwing molten lead down a tall tower was how round musket balls used to be made, so melted meteorite in the atmosphere being really super round by the time it gets to earth seems normal to me…. Those shot towers are all around Harvard

Can bring in boatloads of grant money = can attract money from non-traditional sources eager to be part of the scene (i.e. new soft power money in china) = is comfortable working the midbrow media to build their personal brand, delegate all actual work to postdocs needing career impact fsctor bootstrap = occasional forays into quackery like this come with the territory of this personality and are not only tolerated but will increase
