Ask HN: Burner Phone for China?

Hi Hackers, I'm planning a 2 week visit to China. My question is, is it ok to use my iPhone and do a factory reset when I come home or do I need a burner phone? I've Googled and read a few articles, but it is hard to get a real sense of the actual risks. Will I end up with CCP malware on my phone or are the risks exaggerated? Thanks in advance.

Dude, they make iPhones. iPhone exploits are super cheap now. The question is, do you care if they do malware you?

I thought that they do install their software on your phone if it isn't already there, as soon as you get to customs and they "search" your phone.
