Ask HN: Is Reddit imposing rate limits too? 7 points by housemusicfan 3y ago ↗ HN I use Teddit to browse Reddit and lately have been getting many "429 - Too Many Requests" errors thrown, which I've never seen before. Has Reddit imposed rate limits similar to Twitter?
[–] plastic_bag 3y ago ↗ It's happening on Libreddit too. Been getting the "Too Many Requests" error for the past couple of days. But a quick refresh fixes it for me. [–] s777 3y ago ↗ Sadly the quick refresh is no longer working for me, and going through all of the instances on Libredirect, they all seem to be constantly down now.It appears that they are trying to deal with this issue here:https://github.com/libreddit/libreddit/issues/836 [–] plastic_bag 3y ago ↗ Yep. I can no longer access Libreddit from any instance. But teddit[0] still seems to be working.[0] https://teddit.hostux.net/

[–] pndy 3y ago ↗ Seems so; I'm seeing same error all the time now - tho, some instances are able to pull hot posts listing but not new.But refreshing doesn't work for 2 hours (2023-07-12 23:50 CEST/UTC+2 atm) [–] pndy 3y ago ↗ Edit: should be 07-13, not 07-12
