He paid someone $1,000 for what could be completely unsubstantiated rumors? That's the source? And if it's true, the person who is selling trade secrets is opening themselves up to a lot of pain. Leaking for free is one thing but profiting from it is lawyer bait.
Obviously a sensationalist title, but a lot of details that seem true. I wonder if the open source models are going to go this route, imagine some sort of smaller, but still much more scaled/capable MoE model derived from the LLaMA models.
I checked both of the linked sources and they no longer exist. In fact, the site linked at the bottom of the paste wasn't even reachable for me.
Yam Peleg's LinkedIn post appears to have been deleted, and even if it still existed, he's not exactly an insider to OpenAI. Without any real verification of these claims, it's hard to believe.

The authors of that post also don't seem to have any links to OpenAI, or any real credibility on the topic other than "trust me bro."
