That's baffling coming from Microsoft, given that they rake in billions via Office 365 subscriptions, where they have essentially no serious competition, mainly due to the dominance of their DOCX and XLSX formats. Unlike other game companies, Microsoft has almost unlimited money to beat the competition with acquisitions.
