This company is as secretive with its rocket failures as the former USSR. What even is there we can talk about in this thread? The CNBC writeup might as well be a LLM riffing on the empty string (""), for all the substance it brings to the table.
It would not seem outrageous to wonder if any Blue Origin hardware will ever make orbit. They’re making SLS out to be a wild success in comparison.

ULAs Centaur issues should at least buy BO a couple more years of gravy until Vulcan collapses.

Is blank check bezos even trying? I thought every engineering problem was easily solved by paying the best engineers. And BO salaries are supposed to be considerably higher than SpaceX. Does no one want bigger money and responsibility at the underdog?
A poorly managed company is poorly managed even if you’re better paid.
I'm enjoying the cognitive dissonance the mainstream media is really struggling with their massive hate-boner for Elon Musk on one hand, contrasted with the indisputable fact that SpaceX basically owns the rocket business at this point, shooting them into space on what seems like every day, and making it look like child's play.
It is rather annoying how much they hate Musk because it affects their coverage. If they want to hate him privately in their rooms at night, that's fine with me. But when you can't trust their coverage of things like rocketry, tunneling, satellite internet or especially twitter, well, why do we need them? They're just going to paint his work in the worst possible light.
He's just an easy guy to hate, which makes "his" success extra frustrating.

Seeing Bezos fail is just a nice illustration of the fact that luck is the largest part of most of these guys' success stories; throwing more money at a problem can often drive extra wins, but not always.

You can dislike him while recognising that there's stuff besides money and luck involved.
I think the mainstream media hates him particularly because he owns twitter, their biggest existential threat.
Celebrity is a two-edged sword. Even if Musk was a saint, after building him up, popular culture would still gleefully tear him down. This was preordained.

Save your pity for Musk; he feeds off the drama, revels in it, has masterfully wielded it to reach his goals.

I’m not sure what you mean by “mainstream media.” If you find their credibility lacking, could you provide some more credible suggestions?

I recommend the Economist. They do proper journalism and don’t fall into this “hive-mind” trap.
I’ve always found it interesting how they let some obvious left AND right leaning bias creep into some stories. Maybe they have a writing staff with pretty diverse political views?

But agreed, they are much better than consuming other media news.

Comment from Tory Bruno, CEO of ULA:

"Every engine, elex box, COPV, etc, gets an Acceptance Test (ATP) as they come off the line to verify good workmanship. (The one time Qual verifies the design. BE4 is qualified). The BE4's on Cert1 have passed ATP, as have many others. This engine failed ATP." [1]
