In FairEmail, one of the things I appreciate is that clicks always first give you a pop-up with the link target. Maybe a nuisance to some (I'm sure you can turn that off), but I never worry to accidentally tap something and triggering the "user has read the email" tracking. It also makes me doubly appreciate the handful of organisations (like Freedom Internet) that use bare links; those are satisfying to click
While I use Apple Mail full-time, I wish I could use Pine or mutt instead. Office 365 and needing to keep a calendar makes this very difficult, however.
