Reddit is getting rid of its Gold awards system (theverge.com)

I am curious if the timing of this aligns with the new Twitter ad split system. If Twitter users will paid for the content why shouldn’t Reddit users awards be actually worth something etc.

I was a reddit premium user since 2017, sad to unsubscribe but it's the only way I can communicate how I feel about this change...
