I guess I'm still a bit confused. This is the Android Market vis-a-vis 24 hours ago (and with Google Music shoe-horned in), but with a new icon/logo/name.
The most legitimate thing I've heard so far is that this is about providing a uniqued ecosystem for the budget tablet that Google is highly rumored to be introducing. This will let them be competitive with the Amazon Kindle, not only in price and hardware, but (at least a start at) a unified ecosystem of consumable media.
