I am somewhat curious what this will do to wise vs unwise drug dealers. Will a percentage of the wise ones just self host their own platforms? I mean, not them specifically but will they get a geek into their group in the same manor they get people with clean records to move firearms? I forgot what the term for that is. AFAIK law enforcement are perfectly happy to get the unwise dealers as it still makes their numbers look good and appear they are doing something to justify their budget.
If we legalized all molecules would the purpose of this bill just change to something else?
Since it would be pretty easy to make a kind of "wrapper" app to encrypt/decrypt messages before they're sent on to the messaging app, my guess is that we'd see more of those.
I would love to see OTR forked by many different developers in multiple languages and evolved to be easier for people to integrate with any applications. Surely if someone made a Rust fork of OTR it would be popular.
