I stuck with older, used devices and refurb batteries for home use. I'm not going to buy anything else APC because they're rent seeking and changing the bargain after-the-fact.
EDIT: These are the same folks who refuse to support installation of industry-standard PEM certs and instead have their own proprietary pseudo-PKCS#15 format.
