What makes you say that?
The current court is very right wing and religious. It has overturned multiple previous rulings of more liberal courts.
Can you provide an example of the Supreme Court using religious beliefs as the basis for a ruling instead of the Constitution and case law? The court has a rightward lean now, but I haven't seen any evidence of what you're alleging regarding their religious beliefs.

I somewhat prefer to leave overturned laws on the books because it shows that the words in the statutes are not law. There’s a lot of other laws that are on the books which have yet to be overturned and which are equally not law. It’s be healthier if everyone looking at statutes had to recognize that “this is just what the legislature says, and their word doesn’t always matter.”
