Generative AI/LLMs: I don't know. I'd guess these would be cost-prohibitive for large, fast-paced games with hundreds of thousands of players, unless they selectively applied them to suspected cheaters and/or professional players (for retroactive bans).

Machine learning: Yes, for years. One example is Call of Duty[1].

Thanks for the link. I’m surprised their kernel level anti-cheat didn’t cause a stir like Riot’s did with Valorant.
It definitely made people angry, but eventually the anger flamed out as more and more game makers started using the same tactics.
