The diagram is intending to show this inerpretation:

> Maps of mortality risks and excess deaths indicate geographical differences, such as a north–south gradient and increased vulnerability in eastern Europe, as well as local variations due to urban characteristics. The modelling framework and results are crucial for the design of national and local health and climate policies and for projecting the effects of cold and heat under future climatic and socioeconomic scenarios.

So this is ragebait BS from Bjorn and the "CO2 Coalition".

This screaming about how "more people die from cold" is a common climate disinformation "talking point" within the social media cesspools, often accompanied implicitly or explicitly by some nonsensical logic about how it means that "global warming is good". Seeing it reposted here without context is disappointing.

The source (of the twitter post) seems to be Patrick Moore of the fossil fuel funded Heartland Institute https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patrick_Moore_(consultant)

It should be obvious that trying to understand weather-related deaths is a good thing as these direct heat and cold related deaths should be generally avoidable. However, parading these carefully chosen statistics for politically and financially motivated climate change denial is shameful.
