Ask HN: Documentation of SQL Server Compact Edition File Format?

Just curious, is anyone aware of documentation of the file format for SQL Server Compact Edition anywhere on the internet, or open source tools for querying this format? I saw that the format is eventually likely to be deprecated and was wondering how hard it would be to write a library for reading them.
