It is so grounding to walk outside and see the stars. One is nice, and a sky full of stars is so much better. When I lie down to look up awhile I like to imagine I'm on the side of the planet looking out.
I hope this comparison tool helps at least one person take action to reduce light pollution. For my part I have no outside lights on at night (this helps insects, too), and will add "light pollution" to the list of things I lobby my reps about.
