The official guidelines talk about not asking people to upvote and comment - fair enough. But is it advised to not post about a Hacker News launch on socials as well?

Why do you need to reference HN in the other socials? Is an HN launch different from just "launching". Just "launch" in the other places as well.

But you do.

The fact that you are asking, suggests the details of what you plan seems at odds with what you know are the expectations of the HN community.
