Ask HN: Any live updates on superconductor replication?
Hi
Does anyone know how the room temperature superconductor replication is going? I can't wait to see the results. I can't find any live updates from labs except for 1 guy on twitter

Young-Wan Kwon is one of the [many] LK-99 coauthors. He gave a very unconvincing presentation at MML 2023 which did not show any evidence of the Meissner effect.
Remember graphene. This is at best graphene 2.0. Meaning it's a small step and a lot of work left to do.
Nitrogen/Helium cooled superconductors are already used in some of these places, at tremendous cost and difficulty, and some of those are very finicky.
Oh, also it's a ceramic, so good luck using it in motors and so on. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ceramic_engine
