Reddit r/news moderators banning users that comment about UAP hearing

So I made a fairly innocuous comment on a thread yesterday that popped up in r/news about the recent congressional UAP/UFO hearings, and this morning I woke up to see that I'm banned with no explanation.

Link above with my comment and their message. This is quite stunning for me, as I've been on Reddit for nearly 12 years and the only other time I've seen something like this was when r/Pyongyang used to ban people for being mean to North Korea haha.

It is quite interesting to see however, because while its not in the rules there at all, each and every time an article about this news is posted they delete it and ban the user.

Thought this would be interesting to share.
