Ask HN: Recommended Reverse Osmosis System?
I have had the counter top unit (RO-CTOP-PH - tankless, i.e. on demand, includes additional calcium back into the water) from APEC for a few years now and overall satisfied. However it's time to replace the filters and I have been considering upgrading to an undersink with tank unit.

[ 2.8 ms ] story [ 8.1 ms ] threadWe were taking bottles to Publix and filling them.
We use this to dispense water: Drinking Water Dispenser Pump, Automatic Electric Drinking Water Bottle Pump for 1-5 Gallon Water Jugs, USB Rechargeable with 2 Switch Control, Stable and Portable for Home, Kitchen, Office, Camping
We were tired of planning trips. We also had set up an Aquarium, but the local water turned out to be VERY hard and high PH.
The water comes out slowly as there is no pressure based bladder. We have a new house and in a spare bathroom I fill the bottles. Bottles sit in bathtub in case I forget ...
After 5 months, very happy with the solution. We use 3 gallon bottles (Walmart - they have 2 styles square and round, prefer our round ones), as the 5 gallon ones were a bit of a chore to lug around.
