I'm really into archival. And am so into it I have been to Svalbard several times! Curious to see how that space unfolds in the coming decades since there is just so much data and people are going to become sentimental about their memories and achievements.
I left my first job to build an archival/time-capsule company, and ran into all of the classic issues - company structure, data storage, cloud vendors - how can you truly make all of these decisions in a way that will be guaranteed to stand the test of time.
Following DNA storage and some optical stuff Microsoft is doing, but it's all pretty nascent at the moment.
