Huh. I was getting into cryptography and at one point I wondered why ssh doesn't use ssl/tls; and following that, who their creators were.

It seems odd to me that this person isn't considered a celebrity in the vein of Linus Torvalds (or perhaps Tim Berners-Lee? creator of http), considering how critical and pervasive ssh is.

Yeah I think he should be. That's why I posted him. The guy's a legend, but I'd never heard his name before I was, like, curious about SSH, too. :)
