Reporting like this shows why news organizations like the NY Times are still very much needed. Russia and China have had very effective online propaganda machines, and not surprising to see them infiltrating or trying to influence activism or spread conspiracy theories as very effective methods to sway public opinion (on both sides) in ways that favors their interests.
