Blocking the people who are coming in to help train and troubleshoot to get the plant open is about as dumb as you can get. I sincerely hope the campaign is being orchestrated by rival chipmakers who want to see the plant never open. Because that’s what will happen if the plan succeeds.
A report from February claimed TSMC employees were unhappy with plans to use American workers for construction, with claims that US engineers questioned approaches, while Taiwanese engineers were allegedly accustomed to working long hours and on weekends.

So according to the article it's row over bringing in a force of engineers (presumably for building the plant?) who are willing to work under worse circumstances than the domestic workforce.
