Thought: Technological Freedom Index
Right now, people live at the boundary of nation-states, and we have democracy index to evaluate if a nation-state respects the freedom of its citizens. Examples of oppressing freedom: intimidating dissidents, media censoring, etc
People will live at the boundary of multinational tech companies in the future. Should there be an equivalent technological freedom index that evaluates if a tech company respects the freedom of its "citizens"? Examples of oppressing freedom: preying on privacy, content censoring, etc
