Sync issues appeared in Twitter (X?) around Aug 2, were acknowledged by Aug 6, and have continued through Aug 8 and ongoing. Great tool when it works, but this breakdown is disappointing.
A few weeks ago I started using Simplenote again after not using it for years. Someone on Fedi recommended it and since I’ve become fed up with Evernote I thought I’d give it a try.
I should definitely know better than to use a free service without any SLA, and with only a forum for support… So I don’t really have anyone to blame but myself.
Fortunately I hadn’t yet stored that much data with Simplenote, so it won’t be hard to migrate away.
+1 I've been using this service for over a decade now. It's been a cockroach [1] simple, never down for minutes at a time and surviving much longer than alternate services that live fast and die young while bloating themselves up with features.
It's been down for an hour for me now, I've never seen it like this. Worse is that all the clients I'm checking it with show zero errors.
