I could barely code unaided on a Twiddler 3 for a bit. Using TabSpaced layout. I wish I'd kept it up!
I was so so hype for the re-release. I was living in Denver at the time, and I think maybe the old Twiddler had been made there. I very much wanted to poke my head in to whomever it was & say hi, fanboy out.
I had a 5th grade teacher who was a geek, and I think through him Winnebiko somehow got introduced. That was maybe one of the first times I ever thought an adult (Steve Roberts) was genuinely super cool, that one could find leverage & have an adult life on one's own terms & in a free way.
