Very nice Readme! What have you used to generate the illustrations?

Also, congratulation guys. It looks very interesting and as an engineer I'm always happy to see more open-source solutions!

Thanks Charles! I'm just using Stable Diffusion really — with a very specific prompt though.
Hi, everyone,

Yesterday, HashiCorp switched Terraform's license from MPL to BSL. In short, that makes them a "source available" company, not a truly "open source company".

The problem with this change is that the BSL license prohibits people from competing with HashiCorp, and the way "competition" is defined in their license is vague enough to be dangerous to anyone leveraging Terraform as part of a commercial offering.

Layerform is an open-source alternative to Terraform which has a superset of features based on a new abstraction: layers.

Layerform's goal is to make it easy for developers to reuse parts of their infrastructure for different environments. That way, engineers can spin-up production-like environments quickly, and make them less expensive.

We would love to look into ways of keeping the IP somewhere it could remain open-source and serve the community first.
