Stop telling me trust find kids are financial wizards

I assume it's basically impossible to go from broke to billionaire in a single generation.

But I also imagine you wouldn't have to go back that many generations to find some impoverished ancestors of billionaires.

Effort over generations can add up. Of course it also takes luck. Arguably having the right genes to make the effort succeed is itself mostly luck.
