[Introducing a New Web App Tool] Launching your app outside of the Apple/Google App Stores can be advantageous, esp. when App Store policies are restrictive (e.g., free speech apps like Parler) or beta testing is difficult (TestFlight!). For this purpose, I've open-sourced a JS library called 'ADD-TO-HOMESCREEN' that lets users easily add mobile websites to their phone home screen. This library has been rigorously tested, with an 85-90% install rate on home screens from past companies. With this library, and the recent addition of web push notifications in iOS 16.4, web apps can now function comparably to App Store apps , but without the restrictions.
There's nothing like this out there so i hope it can be helpful.
If useful, hope you can star it on GH or share with others! thanks
