this number is also meaningless without knowing more about AFU losses -- they may be 1:1, or close enough to make the numbers look less impressive.
500 in a day is a bad day, but pales in comparison to losses in other large battles, or even in the opening days of the Special Operation. the real question is if the strategy of continuing to attrit Russian forces will lead to a breakthrough or definite results.
