Just got this email, going from $7->$9/mo. This comes just about 2 years after they raised the price from $5 to $7.

EDIT: See comment below, they went from $6->$7 2 years ago and from $5->$6 4 years ago

The FAQ on OP's page says this is the first price increase they've ever had.
That can't be correct, on 07/14/2021 I paid for a year since they were raising the prices, I might have my exact numbers wrong but they did increase prices before.

EDIT:

Here is where they went from $5->$6 in 2019 [0] and here is where they went from $6->$7 [1]

Maybe you're referring to the personal backup product. Until now B2 prices haven't increased since launch, in 2015.
Yev from Backblaze here -> we've had increases on the Computer Backup service in the past but this is the first one for B2 Cloud Storage since launching it in 2015, however we hope the added value for both outweighs in the increased cost.
Yep, I was talking about the computer backup. I'm not saying the price isn't worth it and I don't have any plans to leave BackBlaze, I was just pointing out the previous increases.
Object Storage (B2) - "monthly pay-as-you-go storage rate from $5/TB to $6/TB" - "we’re making egress free ... up to three times the amount of data you store with us, with any additional egress priced at just $0.01/GB."

Computer Backup - "new purchases and renewals will be $9/month, $99/year, and $189 for two-year subscription plans, and Forever Version History pricing will be $0.006/GB." - "all Computer Backup licenses may add One Year Extended Version History, previously a $2 per month expense, for free"

imo, both these products have been absurdly cheap for years, given the reliability, and the amount of goodwill Backblaze has earned. I don't mind these changes
