I will never use this and yet I love that it exists.
This is the kinda stuff I love, I spent weeks learning how to get a Macintosh Classic online so I could use it as an IRC client. Unfortunately it didn’t last long as the CRT flicker drove me a bit mad, but it was insanely fun project.
Not sure about the Mac Classic, but I've found that 75hz or higher refresh rates reduces eye strain on CRTs. I was able to achieve that with the Powermac 7200 all-in-one recently (though albeit at a lower resolution)
omg, it does images, too? Absolutely pointless, beautiful work here :D
I guess this means I have to remember my mastodon login. I'm a sucker for new software for Apple//c's.
I still regret the fact I gave my Apple //c away some 30 years ago. I am dying to try this.
You could buy one on eBay. When I moved to the US, I had to leave my beloved Apple //c behind, but I was able to just buy one here for less than $100
Hey folks! As the author of this, I'm touched by your kind words in the comments! I feel like I should quote some of you on the clients' page, because some of these comments really reflect on the reasons I wrote this.
