I'm curious to see what types of vehicles they're making and which ones are selling the most. I would assume the majority of Chinese electric trucks are not comparable to what the west has worked on and is releasing (Rivian, Ford F-150 Lightning, etc.). Same in the car market.
I've read China has been going through gas shortages/extremely expensive gas prices so makes sense for people to start adopting electric as well - though not sure if the gas problem is government-made or naturally driven by economic factors.
Makes sense. China was already a big battery producer. That kind of lowers the bar to start producing EVs. So not surprising to see those eating market share quickly (especially with China heavily relying on import for oil).
So... Big Oil will recede. Say hello to Big Battery!

China will be soon be shipping more EVs than the US ships cars. That should be enough to get the EV market to a tipping point.
