Sad news.

I wish they had been more successful. Baikal was one of the few (the only?) CPU makers willing to put ECC RAM into Desktop-class hardware[0]. If only they had taken off... as a whole, this would have been a positive shift for the industry.

Bankruptcy's for larger companies like this dont always mean End Of Line. Firstly who were its debtors and investors? If overseas's this could be a way of losing them. Sanctions is cited, and old tech, so again, is this just a chance to offload old tech, whilst creating an opportunity for a joint Russian/Chinese tie up? Both are being sanctioned by the US, so there is a common cause to be had and the Chinese are ramping up their "Taiwanese" chip production.
You'd think they'd still be making money off of 6502 clones.
