DediPath (VPS, dedicated servers, colocation) closing with <24 hour notice

DediPath.com sent out an email today announcing that they are closing today:

>We will are writing to you regarding your service at DediPath. With a heavy heart we must announce that DediPath will be discontinuing operations effective 8/31/23. Please migrate your data and take backups as soon as possible.

Since they provide colo this will affect other server hosts, though presumably none of the huge providers since they use their own datacenters.

Their site still advertises a 20% off coupon and their Twitter was promoting themselves as reliable yesterday.

To anyone who has been affected by DediPath going out of business: I will price match invoices from DediPath that you can provide for the last 2 months. We are a cloud provider that has recently made the move off of Dedipath due to issues with uptime. Their lack of ability to follow an SLA was causing issues with our customers. We are now in colocations that are SOC 2 Type 2 verified and follow strict procedures to achieve the advertised uptime.

We can GUARANTEE an uptime of 99.9%. However, uptime will most likely be more. If you have any questions, please reach out to sales@technolify.com.

Something... very strange is going on. I'm able to access a dedipath server over my phones network connection but not home internet. I'm definitely not hitting a cache as I'm able to e.g. ssh in. I have no explanation for what's going on, but if you're in the same boat I suggest pulling any data you might need
