The recent discussion of Kentons LAN party house[0] reminded me to share this - since for some reason it seems this was never posted?

This acts a simple to setup HTTP cache for several gaming services like Steam. Just start two docker containers (one cache, one DNS), point the DNS server to the cache and its set. For better preparation, there are some tools to pre-warm the cache.

Thanks to affordable switches with SFP+ ports and a pre-warmed cache, we had several people simultaneously install games at over 100MByte/s - on a 100MBit/s connection.
