In addition to being funny as hell, I actually kind of like the Liturgy idea, but it's an uncomfortable middle ground between private enterprise and taxation. I want to like it more than I do.
Sorry I'll have to sit this one out. I used to like deep political satire but so many bad ideas are masquerading as good ideas these days, the funny is just not funny anymore. I have kids now.
For example, I used to love the movie Brazil, until it started to resemble the European Union.
I'm a big fan of the statue of liberty idea. I'm surprised nobody making copper statues puts either a lacquer on them, or some sort of sacrificial anode. (if that's even possible for copper)
When roofs are restored with copper they are incredibly, uncomfortably bright in sunlight. Much worse than reflective windows. The dimming as they corrode is a welcome relief if you live or walk nearby.
I do like the idea of a glowing Statue of Liberty though.

I think that's called ultimogeniture, or at least that's what Crusader Kings told me.
I assume the green look is preferable.
