Notepad++ fixes for buffer overflows are in progress (community.notepad-plus-plus.org)

There's no word yet about whether there will be a release soon which includes these fixes. But there was some concern/suggestion here last week that the developer was not responsive to the proposed changes. That does not appear to be the case.
