Seeking advice: how to share a personal project on HN without being too salesy?

Hello, fellow HN community members!

I’ve dedicated the last 5 years to developing a calendar app with online scheduling and CRM features. I’m considering posting on HN to seek feedback and grow, but I’d love your advice on the best approach.

If you have any tips or can share examples of successful HN posts, I’d greatly appreciate it.

Your insights may also benefit others trying to do the same.

Thank you for your help!

Best regards, Romain from Meetme.io

Make your title

Show HN : Calendar/Scheduling App

and there are monthly "What are you working on" posts, so make sure to add it to those

Thanks @david927 - simple and clear title!
People like to buy, but they don't like being sold to. So don't tell people they need your app; give them information that will lead them to this conclusion on their own: what pains does it alleviate? How? Why is it better than the competition?

Handle common objections. The most common one I see on HN is complaining about having to create an account. So make your app usable without an account: either a shared demo account or anonymous account that can be upgraded to a full account later.

(I'm not sure how many prospects are actually lost due to this; it could just be a very vocal minority! I just use a password manager than generates/stores passwords for me.)
