Hiya, I'm a researcher investigating LLM's and have various queries that I'd like to discuss with others.

For instance "what are the advantages of putting instructions in a system prompt versus in the prompt itself?".

Are there any discords you can recommend for these sorts of discussions / conversations?

This is an excellent discord, for starting discussions and getting help.

Your best bet is probably the OpenAI discord, they have relevant channels for this. There's also /r/PromptEngineering.

That sounds more like a LLM usage question (people would think of LLM research as building the models themselves), hence the OpenAI discord.

For other people looking for LLM research, there's Karpathy's one, and the EleutherAI one.
