Hey cool, I just finished working with WebGL shaders too for Google Summer of Code [0]. I wrote fragment shaders for a few simple image effects and made it easier to write your own fragment shader. I even used the same FPS widget.

If you want to learn how to write shaders, there's more resources than ever. Minimal examples like the ones posted are very helpful because the source is often just a handful of lines. The author has a nice list of resources on the 'about' page and it starts with the book of shaders [1].
