I agree that the new feed is terrible.

What's more, their little buttons and forms to try to tell them you don't want to see a given update do not work. I did that about 10 times for a merged pull request on some repo I don't follow (I follow the user), and it changed nothing. Their "send feedback" goes to some absurdly crowded and terrible looking forum.

It's very disappointing.

I feel this is retrograde in several respects. Most notably due to wasted vertical space, there is now less information displayed than there was.

This might be fine if you are a very casual Github user with thin followings. But if you have interests in hundreds of projects, this is a disaster.
