Ask HN: wave functions and are electrons actually repelling each other?
VSPER theory, are electrons actually repelling each other?
If I look at waves rolling towards the a beach it would be easy to convince myself that the waves are objects, and the waves at the back are pushing the waves at the front onto the beach, that the waves are evenly spaced because they are repelling each other. When we talk about electrons repelling each other, are we doing something similar? If I burrowed deep into the Schrödinger equation and wave functions, would I find models that predict the same outcome entirely without the concept of electron - electron repulsion?
