I noticed this morning in The NY Times that there was nothing aside from the date to indicate that it was the anniversary of September 11th - one of the most impactful days of most people's lives - killing thousands on the day and launching decades of reverberations.
It strikes me that it's the first time with absolutely no commemoration from the Times (or the WSJ, Daily News, etc...) - 22 years later.
What are other people's experiences today? What are other people's memories?
The official line has been emitted. They have not needed to change that history for a couple years now; so why bring it back to mind? We've got all new shiny toys to base public agitprop upon.

The 9/11 section has as much coverage space as tomorrow's rumored iPhone announcement.
And, yes, at some point in the near future, it's going to be as meaningful to the American public as the Tet Offensive, Oklahoma City bombing, etc.
