Ask HN: What are the advantages of tools like GitHub Copilot over ChatGPT/Bard?

I was wondering what are the advantages of having a GitHub Copilot vs having a ChatGPT window pinned in your browser (or on the second screen), besides that CoPilot is there in your IDE. Is it more likely to produce a working or better code, that is in line with what you already have in the solution? Is there any research that proves that?
